Patrice Maguire, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, is the mother of three boys and now a grandmother. The Many Fears of Miela the Cat was Patrice’s first book. That was followed by three more great children’s titles: The Wonderful Life of Mr. Bear, The Little Boy that Could and Better not Bitter and, finally, her classic, Bitter or Better.
