Etienne, Marie

Marie Etienne immigrated from Haiti to the United States as an exchange student in 2003, and today she is the owner of B&E Home Care. She obtained a BA in Information Technology from Sullivan University in Lexington, Kentucky, and an MBA with emphasis on Information Systems, Management Systems from Webster University in Jacksonville, Florida. For the past 14 years now she has been working as a software quality analyst while building her own business and volunteering for many community activities. She is the mother of two little girls—Brielle Elizabeth, 9, and Annabelle Grace, 3. As you can see, her business name is derived from her daughters’ names.
B&E Home Care has partnered with various organizations throughout the greater Jacksonville area, organizations that provide discounted services to those in need, organizations such as Elder Source, Aging True, St Johns County Council on Aging and V for Victory. When she started her business, profit was not her primary motive. She has a passion for caring, loving, and professional caregiving. “We provide,” she says, “dignified services, the same kind of services I would want my own mother to have. B&E Home Care treats every client and every employee like family. It’s like having a personal assistant caring for your needs.”
