Lillie B. Allen gave her life to Jesus Christ more than sixty years ago and subsequently joined the National Church of God in Fort Washington, Maryland. Soon after, Sister Allen and her late husband, Eugene Allen, started The Campfire Ministry, through which they spread the Gospel to men and women living in tents in the woods in a nearby county (which inspired her to write this book). Today she continues to embody the scriptural admonition of Luke 14:23: “Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that My house may be filled,” by ministering to people in their homes, in nursing homes, homeless shelters, and hospitals.
