As a boy, I remember putting pencil to paper from time to time, scrawling stories only a mother would save. Later, I found myself writing specifications and technical blurbs. That concise, unambiguous grammar and accuracy of detail polished my personal style. Now, family, photography, cooking, ceramics, my inspection business and life in general provide an unlimited supply of subject matter. I intend to continue writing about anything that grabs my attention. -- Roger Irwin
