Kaylin Haynes

Kaylin Michelle Allen Haynes, a native of Baton Rouge and Baker, Louisiana, who now resides in Zachary, Louisiana, is an ordained minister and intercessor who has done prison ministry and been a spiritual advisor to many. Her strongest ministry, however, is in writing. Since high school days she has loved to write and has written poems, essays, short stories and eventually a regular blog that served as the basis for her first book.
Kaylin has been an elite athlete most of her life and, even though she is the mother of two, she is still very active in sports. Over the years she has won numerous awards, most notably as MVP in volleyball in both middle and high school and placed in numerous state track meets as a sprinter in both single and relay events. She has been a devout martial artist for 33 years and is currently ranked as a black belt in Zenshin Ki-Do under the tutelage of Grandmaster Robert A. Christy, Jr. She has also had training in Jubushido, Korean Tae Kwon Do, Shotokan and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She still competes in martial arts tournaments and has won numerous local and state championships and has also placed in nationals in both sparring and kata over the years. Kaylin is also a certified life-guard and is CPR, First-Aid and AED certified.
In 1987 Kaylin began writing inspirational writings to encourage and edify others, as she strove to conquer her own mountains. Her competitive spirit and warrior heart are reflected in her writings today as she lives to protect, defend, uplift and save souls.
