The problem is that we don’t know what to do when something arises that hinders that relationship. Rather than run to God, our pride and willfulness all too often cause us to run the other way and to hide our sin, and this only complicates the situation. To make matters even worse, the enemy constantly torments us with these facts and tells us that God is so angry with us that He will never forgive what we have done. As a consequence, things only get worse.
What can we do when we have failed morally or followed the flesh or listened to the twenty-first century crowd, and, as a result, we know that God is not pleased with us? The good news is that there is definitely hope for anyone in this situation. The Bible has clear answers for us, and it shows us that God is more eager to see a restoration of our relationship with Him than we are.
