Pedro Belardo, Jr., a Filipino by birth, was called by God through a vision he had as a young person to dedicate his life as a missionary to reaching the lost for Christ. He served successfully on a short-term basis in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Then, because of his zeal, he was called upon to replace other missionaries in the very dangerous areas of South Vietnam while the war there was still in full swing. Feeling that it would be a privilege to give his life for Christ, Pedro risked all to enter many Vietnamese villages at that most dangerous time and give the Good News to many desperate people.
His work in Thailand has been no less heroic. Because of his vision and faithfulness throughout the past forty years, a large work has been established, and the end is not yet. Pedro, along with his wife, children and grandchildren, continues to do God’s work in that part of the world.
