While conducting research for her doctoral degree, Dr. Karen Drake was diagnosed with cancer in 2006. She was given the grim news that she had only months to live if she did not adhere to drastic modern medical treatments. Believing that one cannot poison themselves back to health, she made the choice to trust God instead of man. She was pronounced cancer free in November of 2007.

Dr. has over 30 years of experience as a medical professional in the health care industry. In 1996 she received her Doctorate in Oriental Medicine in electro-dermal screening and measurement. She went on to study premed at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee and then on to Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Karen completed her Master of Ministry degree at Phoenix Theological Seminary (now Primus University of Theology International) in Theopathic Health and Healing in 2003. She was awarded her Doctor of Ministry degree in Health and Healing from Phoenix (now Primus) in 2008.
